This event is more than a dinner, though you will enjoy a delicious home-made Indian dinner, served to your table. Handicrafts from Nepal will be available for purchase in three ways: a bazaar, a silent auction and a live auction (for a few of the larger items). You’ll also get to try out some Bollywood dancing. You’ll be supporting centres for women and children in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Tibet in China. Come out for an enjoyable evening.

This is an annual event sponsored by the Kingston Lapidary & Mineral Club showcasing the handcrafted jewellery, rocks, minerals, home decor and many more gift items created and presented by members of the club. The event spans 4 days – Thursday, May 2nd, 5 to 9; Friday, May 3rd, 10 to 6; Saturday, May 4th, 10 to 5 and Sunday, May 5th, 10 to 3. It will be held in the Malting Tower on the 3rd Floor of the Tett Centre and admission is free.

Students will render a transfer of an iconic fashion photo onto mixed media poster paper. We will ink the drawings and then we will use a paint/squeegee technique to make their illustrations explode with colour!

Students will be able to use Photoshop for basic image manipulation. They would have a basic understanding of what Photoshop is, all of its main tools, and how they are used. Colours, manipulating layers, blending modes, special effects, masking, text, and more. Students would finish the course with the ability to create a unique Photoshop design.
