As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. Adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure “worthy of the gods” (Time Out New York).
This musical is a part of The Juvenis Festival. The festival is a project of Blue Canoe Theatrical that began in 2016. This 10 day-long festival gives young people an opportunity to act, sing, dance, perform, and showcase their artistic talents, as well as take free workshops to build on their interests and skills in the arts. Everyone involved in this festival is under the age of 30, including all paid staff positions and participants. While our workshops are only open to youth, we invite audience members of all ages to view Juvenis productions and events!

Unexpected and unusual, “Nombre” is a participatory theatrical work by Théâtre Catapulte and Théâtre la Seizième. Merging the room with the stage, “Nombre” (Number in English) is a participatory show that diverts the traditional role of the public to make it both the witness and the protagonist of the experience. Upon entering the space, the attendees receive an envelope containing instructions. In a playful spirit and under the benevolent eye of the creators, Marie-Renée Bourget Harvey, Krystel Descary, Claudiane Ruelland et Alexandrine Warren, the participants are encouraged to take part collectively in the construction of a world apart.
An intimate and universal human experience that is a tribute to encounters and the thrilling strength of numbers.

A daughter struggles to reconcile the past she thought she knew with a wardrobe full of roles to try on. Upstairs Amelia is still angry with her mother and refuses to leave her childhood room because she doesn’t have anything appropriate to wear. Downstairs her grandmother is entertaining the guests who have arrived while Thomas and Grace indulge Amelia’s retrospection on her childhood. Amelia’s missed some things over the years, including her mom’s questionable relationship with her high school neighbor. In a dizzying journey of crayons, circus acts and lavender martinis, Dressing Amelia is a lovingly penned letter for the mothers and daughters seeking to connect through states of mania and inherited trauma. Sometimes it’s just a dress and sometimes it’s so much more.
