The Union Gallery is hosting a poetry reading event on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 6-7:30pm in celebration of National Poetry Month. The reading will feature student and emerging poets.
This year, the League of Canadian Poets has declared National Poetry Month’s theme to be “nature.” At the time of the poetry reading, the student sculptural show Body Positive will be exhibited in the gallery. Like the works in the exhibition, nature reminds us of hope, resilience and fear in the spaces we occupy. As creators and consumers, we can sculpt the future of nature and how we will exist alongside it. The poetry performed at this event will feature works that broadly engage with these ideas and themes.
This event is free and open to the public!
