The Juvenis Festival presents: Contemporary Art Party
Spring Silkscreen Series Launch: Acceptance/Memory/Consent
Agnes Etherington Studio, Queen’s University, Kingston Ontario
Create colourful, abstract t-shirts or tote bags with stencils. In this introduction to contemporary art and printmaking, we’ll ground our creative works with discussions around identity, relationships, or making mistakes. Fun for deep thinkers!
Bring an old white T-shirt you don’t mind getting paint on or let us know in the registration form if you willbe needing one provided.
The theme is: Memory/Acceptance/Consent
Type a word or phrase that relates to any of these themes and pick a sweet font to make it interesting. Doodle an image or create a pattern that resonates with you on any of these themes.
A jury will choose a couple of winning designs and you will receive free screen-printing patches AND the chance to print your own image onto a T-shirt on May 2nd.
Deadline to submit is April 7th

Barb’s experiential screen-printing workshops explore themes such as protest aesthetics, connection, and communication. She is a recipient of the Ontario Arts Council Artist in Community grant, and has been a Limestone District School Board Artist in Residence for four years. She works with Partners for Youth Empowerment Global to deliver arts education training.
