For over 20 years, Artists of various skill levels have met weekly to work in Atelier style sessions with Joanne Gervais

> Artists are encouraged to work in their own style while advancing their skills in the art of Portrait & Figure Drawing & Painting.

> These sessions are designed for continual participation and life long learning. Assistance is available upon request.

>Most media are acceptable except for volatile solvents or other irritants to other members.

>Easels, boards, stools/chairs, tables, donkeys available if needed.

>Model stage with custom lighting, props, etc.

>Usual Session Format: 30 minutes gestures/short poses, followed by a long study (times/poses dependent on the model skills)

>Air conditioned, wood stove/gas heat. Personal heater for the model.

> Portrait studio is in the basement of house (painting studio is next to the house). Lots of free parking.

> Start time 10:00 end time 1:30/2:00 pm 1/2 hour lunch 2.5 hours drawing time

> Refreshments & Lunch supplied

> FEES: $125.00 per 10 consecutive weeks. max. 12 registered participants per session. (waiting list at most times)

: $15.00 for a one time trial session

: interview required for both artists and models prior to participating

>MODELS : Draped, undraped, costumed, character (ie dance, music, trades, etc.), all ages, body types.

: Experience not required, training on site

: Honorarium of $50.00 or in exchange for artwork
