Art's Birthday

January 17, 2020 - 3:00 pm

Join the Union Gallery and Tone Deaf in celebrating art’s 1,000,057th birthday!

On January 17th, 1963 Robert Filliou declared art to be one million years old. The first work of art, he said, was a dry sponge inadvertently dropped into some water. “Modest beginnings, but look where we are now!” Since then, artists have come together annually in networked parties worldwide to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and communication.

Join us and a network of ARCs connected via live stream as we celebrate art’s birthday with an eclectic mix of visual art and performances, enjoyed together over coffee and birthday cake!
