St. George’s Cathedral Summer Concerts on Thursday June 27 from 12:15pm to 12:50pm with a performance by guitarist Adam Cicchillitti from Montreal. The concert will feature works from his latest album of late-19th, early 20th century Spanish music, including Turina, Rodrigo, Albéniz and Tarrega, as well as music by Scarlatti, Bach, Rivera and one of his own compositions. Cicchillitti is a doctoral candidate at McGill University, studying with celebrated guitarist Jérôme Ducharme. He has received awards in national and international competitions, has performed extensively in Canada and the United States and regularly commissions composers for new works. He is the founder of the guitar school at Ottawa Suzuki Strings.
