**** ABOUT THE MUSICIANS ****

YUMIKO YOSHIMOTO
https://yoshimotoyumiko.blogspot.com/

With a background in rock music, Tokyo-born Yumiko Yoshimoto began playing her free guitar improvisation style in 2006 at the performance of a visual artist, HIGUMA Haruo in Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale (Niigata). Since then she has performed many times, solo, and with many other musicians, dancers, poets, in films etc. In 2017 she began to play daxophone (instrument invented by German guitarist Hans Reichel) and she was part of the Nakanojo Biennale (Gunma)
with Ingebjjrg Torgersen (video / performance / Norway) and Adrian Åsling Sellius (saxophone / Sweden).

SOUND OF THE MOUNTAIN
http://www.soundofthemountain.com/

Sound of the Mountain plays amplified clarinet and trumpet, coming from a history of improvisation and extended techniques. Since forming in 2015, we have played over 150 concerts together, developing a sound language merging acoustic and electronic textures through amplification. With this language we create long-form soundscapes. We work with closely-mic’d instruments and minimal equalization, avoiding the use of effects pedals and loops, such that our constant physical attention drives the music.

LOCAL URCHINS
Local Urchins is a live electronics duo of Paul Clifford and Matt Rogalsky.
