Camp hours: 9AM–4PM (excluding drop off and pick up)
This immersive 1-week summer camp program for kids aged 8-13 offers a variety of arts activities and creative learning opportunities in our beautiful waterfront heritage building.
Campers are given the opportunity to explore a variety of new mediums, build confidents in the arts, find creative ways of problem solving, and fearlessly express themselves. The artforms explored in this camp include pottery, fibre arts, painting, wire crafting jewelry making, music, theatre, weaving, yoga, and more! The camp is run by the Tett Centre for Creativity in partnership with a number of our tenant organizations. Campers explore arts activities in Tett rental spaces and tenant organizations studios—playing with clay in the Kingston Potters’ Guild studio, learning about rocks and minerals in the Lapidary Mineral Club studio, exploring performance at Theatre Kingston, and so on.
Our dynamic schedule provides young artists, in groups of 8-10, a diverse arts experience unlike any other in the city. On the final day of the camp, we proudly showcase all of the campers’ artwork during a special open house for families and friends.
Thank you to our community partners: The Kingston Potters’ Guild, The Kingston Lapidary & Mineral Club, The Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners, Theatre Kingston, Bethany Garner, Gary Rasberry, Alice Melo, and Jo Monea (more TBA!)
