Join us in the Rehearsal Hall on July 11, 6:30–8:30PM for an introduction to colour theory through the eyes of Tett Creativity Studio artist Michelle Reid. Through this interactive presentation, participants will learn about how we see colour, why we’re so drawn to it, and how artists use colour to make an impact. Participants will be provided materials to explore the concepts presented in the talk, taking an active role in their learning experience.
Michelle Reid is a Creativity Studio Artist at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. Her oil paintings offer a contemporary approach to post-impressionism that spark emotional memories of catching the perfect light in familiar places. She deconstructs a scene into bold and confident brushstrokes grounded in the drama between light, shadow, and saturated colours that shine so bright they’ll make you reach for your sunglasses.
