The Kingston Baroque Consort (KBC) presents “The Play of Light and Shadow: music and art from the German Baroque”, featuring the KBC wind ensemble (Heather Schreiner, Jason Hawke, Katie Legere, Michael Capon, and William Egnatoff), on Friday 11 March at 5:15pm at St James Church, 10 Union St in Kingston.
Special guest Gauvin Bailey, Professor and Bader Chair in Southern Baroque Art at Queen’s University, will project images of architecture associated with the composers. This is the third in a series of four Baroque instrumental concerts.
A live audience will be accommodated according to provincial guidelines. Tickets cost $20 each.

The program will feature music by German Baroque composers J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, G.P. Telemann, J.F. Fasch, J.G. Linike, J.J. Quantz, and others. The final concert in the series will be presented on Friday 1 April, featuring the full consort (strings and winds).
