Event Details

This year we are excited to offer audiences 18 incredible programs over 10 days here in Kingston, ON Canada.

While conditions look gloomy (weather and politics alike), ReelOut is showcasing RAYS OF LIGHT from over 45 filmmakers, media artists, game designers and performing artists from 14 different countries. We hope this festival will offer a safe and welcoming atmosphere not just for the 2SLGBT community but also all our movie loving allies who believe in the importance of representation, inclusion and empowering marginalized voices.

We hope you bask in the light.

To The Moon is a story about three people finding themselves. His daughter, Ella, is struggling to navigate the treacherous waters of teenagerhood at a new school while dealing with a father who needs more guidance than she does.

Their curious new neighbour, Claire, has recently abandoned her corporate life to pursue a career as a writer, and her attempts to mine inspiration from the father-daughter team next door lead to some surprising revelations about her future from some wildly unexpected sources. And all three of these people are doing their best to prevent the moon from crashing into the earth.
