Who is Song Walk For: All are welcome – whether you’ve sung with us often, occasionally, or not yet at all. Friends and family are warmly invited too! If you haven’t joined us before, this relaxed gathering is a great way to meet the community and get a feel for what we’re creating together.
When: Sunday, October 19th from 3 to 5 pm, RAIN OR SHINE!
You are welcome to come and go as you’re able. We recommend arriving by 3:30 pm if possible, as we’ll be on the move after that.
Can’t find us? Text or call Paul! 416-879-3978
Where: Lemoine Point Conservation Area, Kingston, ON
Find us near the North (Coverdale Dr.) parking lot.
What to Expect: We will meet at the North (Coverdale Dr.) entrance of Lemoine Point Conservation Area at 3 pm, beginning with 20–30 minutes of singing to help us slow down and attune to the natural world. We will then head out for a leisurely walk along the park’s gentlest trails (i.e., flat sections of trails one, two & five). We may sing as we walk, or just enjoy our time together among the trees. Along the way, we will stop at a couple points to share a few more songs, and return to the parking lot by 4:50 pm for a closing song and farewell.
What to Bring/Wear:
Weather-appropriate clothing and extra layers for warmth.
An umbrella or rain coat, in case of rain.
A spare pair of socks.
Water bottle.
~ Optional ~
Picnic blanket or lawn chair for the opening circle.
Bathing suit for a fall swim in Collins Bay/Lake Ontario.
Binoculars.
Bird seed.
Accessibility:
We will stay on the flattest, widest sections of trail where slopes are gentle – we are cautiously confident these trails will be accessible for some folks using mobility aids. There is a gender-neutral bathroom with some accessibility features (like a ramp) at the south end of the park, which we will visit midway through the walk. Need a ride or able to offer one? Email info@fiercelyok.ca – we’ll help match you up for carpools! 🚗
RSVPs appreciated to help us plan and ensure we don’t leave anyone behind. Email info@fiercelyok.ca or RSVP on Eventbrite. Last-minute arrivals are totally okay, too. 😊 Questions? Reach out – we’d love to hear from you!
All are welcome! We hope to see you there!
