Kirsi joined the Kingston Arts Council as Executive Director in October 2018. She has been a Kingston resident since 1996 when she came to the city to attend Queen’s University, where she earned her BAH in Drama. Since that time, Kirsi has worked primarily in leadership positions in the arts, culture and tourism, including work with the Haunted Walk of Kingston, the Museum of Health Care and the iSTORM Children’s Theatre Company.
In addition to her background in theatre, Kirsi is a writer currently completing two children’s picture books and compiling a book of essays and poetry. She also recently completed her Certificate in Editing from Simon Fraser University.
Felix joined the Kingston Arts Council as the Grants Coordinator in October 2017. Felix is a graduate of Queen's University and Georgian College and has lived in Kingston for nearly twenty years. Upon completion of his graduate certificate in Museum and Gallery Studies, Felix knew he wanted to begin his career as a part of Kingston's growing arts community. Felix previously worked with H'art Centre, where he became engaged with non-profit organizations and diverse opportunities for artists in the city.
Jeff McGilton | Office and Communications Coordinator
Jeff recently joined the Kingston Arts Council as Office and Communications Coordinator in October 2021. After an undergraduate degree at The Dan School of Drama and Music and subsequent Master's Degree in Applied Theatre from Goldsmiths University of London, he decided to come back to Kingston to join its booming arts community and to help become a facilitator of it. Jeff's previous work with Theatre Kingston, SpiderWebShow, and Bottle Tree Productions has fuelled his passion for community-based arts projects, and he is thrilled to be bringing this passion to the Kingston Arts Council.
