Felix Lee | Executive Director

Felix joined the KAC in 2017 as Grants Coordinator. In that role, he built the public profile of KAC funding programs through stakeholder engagement and new outreach strategies and focused on building lasting relationships and addressing barriers for applicants. Felix holds a Bachelor of Art, Art History from Queens University, and a Museum and Gallery Studies Post Graduate Certificate from Georgian College. His experience in the arts and cultural sector includes grant writing, program development, and outreach coordination. He became engaged in the Kingston arts community through his previous role at H’art Centre and is dedicated to providing diverse opportunities in the arts. He brings a collaborative approach to leadership and deeply values the role of the KAC as an essential arts service organization.

Jeff McGilton | Administrative Assistant

Jeff joined the Kingston Arts Council as Office and Communications Coordinator in October 2021, and later transitioned to Administrative Assistant in April 2022. After an undergraduate degree at The Dan School of Drama and Music and subsequent Master's Degree in Applied Theatre from Goldsmiths University of London, he decided to come back to Kingston to join its booming arts community and to help become a facilitator of it. Jeff's previous work with Theatre Kingston, SpiderWebShow, and Bottle Tree Productions has fuelled his passion for community-based arts projects, and he is thrilled to be bringing this passion to the Kingston Arts Council.

Violet Tang | Grants and Programs Coordinator

Violet joined the Kingston Arts Council as Grants and Programs Coordinator in May 2022. Violet holds a Master of Art in Art History from Queen’s University and her background in the art and heritage sector includes exhibition design, public programming and interpretation. She gained vibrant experiences in the Kingston art world as a long-term volunteer of the Kingston Association of Museums (KAM). She then worked at many cultural institutions such as Fort Henry, the City of Kingston, and Murney Tower. She is looking forward to bringing cross-cultural perspectives and creativity to KAC, fostering strong collaborative relationships and creating varied opportunities for local artists and art communities.
