Nicole Daniels (she/her) joined the KAC as Executive Director in March 2023. In her previous role as Program and Communications Coordinator at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, Nicole worked to grow and refine programming to best serve Kingston’s arts community—creating mentorship opportunities, facilitating collaborations, and seeking funding to support local artists. Prior to her work with the Tett Centre, Nicole worked for the Skeleton Park Arts Festival and Union Gallery, and in previous roles at the Kingston Arts Council. Nicole has independently worked as a curator and collaborator with a variety of local artists, and has a background in programming, communications, grant writing, administration, and public art. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Art History from Queen's University.

B.C. Gorrie (he/him) is a Katarokwi/Kingston-based playwright, director, comedian, and arts administrator with over a decade of expertise in orchestrating successful events and managing diverse teams. With a proven track record in arts administration and customer service, B.C. excels in creating impactful programming and fostering community engagement by blending creativity with organized logistics. Drawing on his Drama degree from Queen’s University, he specializes in project management, strategic communications, and developing artistic opportunities. A dedicated advocate for the arts, B.C. is committed to enriching Katarokwi/Kingston's cultural landscape, and is excited to bring his expertise in programming, communications, and arts administration to the KAC team.

Katherine Dionne |  Administrative Assistant

Katherine Dionne (she/her) is a multimedia artist and a graduate of the DAN School of Drama and Music at Queen's University. She joined the KAC as the Administrative Assistant in January 2023. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music and a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management. Katherine has been involved in the Kingston arts community for a number of years both on stage and behind the scenes, participating in theatre, music and visual arts. A passionate artist herself, Katherine is thrilled to be joining the KAC and facilitating the support of local artists.

Shamara Peart |  Grants Administrator

Shamara Peart

Shamara Peart (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist and arts administrator living in Katarokwi-Kingston. Her artistic background is in theatre, textiles, and literary arts. Peart is Jamaican-Canadian and committed to work that centers equity and accessibility. As such, her art and professional experience concentrates around cultural/community-informed themes.

Prior to working at the KAC, she published poems in Arc Poetry, Acta Victoriana, and Room Magazine. She holds a Master's of Arts in English Literature from Queen's University and has experience in arts programming, communications, and grant writing. She joined the KAC in June 2025 as the Program Administrator.
