Bayani Catapang is a Kingston-based creative actively employed in various artistic niches. As a tattoo artist he specializes in black-ink work concentrating on tribal and neo-classical tattoo designs. As a choreographer, he has worked in the world of hip-hop and contemporary dance styles, with previous stints in Las Vegas, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, and Vancouver. As a commissioned painter and graphic print producer, he specializes in the Pacific Northwest style. As a writer and poet, he endeavours to document the first-generation immigrant experience drawing on his personal history for his compositions. In 2024, he completed a three-volume book project titled: The Modern Filipino, a collection of compositions best consumed in spoken-word format.
