Music on Union presents singer Ralph Kuster and pianist Tim Hallman live as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). Known for his engaging and entertaining performances, Ralph performed his own show in Branson, Missouri from 2008 through 2013, and continues to perform in the Rio Grande Valley in Southern Texas. For this concert multi-talented local pianist Tim Hallman will join Ralph as they perform many of your favorites from the standards, Broadway, rock and roll, and country.

Music on Union presents clarinet duo Carina Canonico and David Gazaille as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). Carina and David are active freelancers in both the USA and Canada. As a duo they perform a variety of styles including baroque, jazz, klezmer, and contemporary. Individually they have performed with the Kingston Symphony, Albany Symphony, Riverside Symphony, Ontario Philharmonic, and others. They both attended McGill University, followed by Stony Brook University, New York, where they received their Master and Doctoral degrees. They then moved back to Canada and chose Kingston as their home base.

Music on Union presents the “Two Thirds Down Under” trio (clarinets and cello) live as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). The name “Two Thirds Down Under” is a whimsical reference to the two Australians in the trio, Sue Moore (clarinets, flute and, triangle) and Ian Moore (cello) who, along with Alison Josselyn (clarinets), play music from Bach to the Beatles, jazz and originals. They have been playing together in Kingston and the surrounding area since 2019.

Music on Union presents Jazz singer Chantal Thompson live as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). Chantal Thompson is a Kingston-based jazz music vocalist and multidisciplinary artist with an international reputation. Not only is she a pillar of the Kingston jazz music scene, Chantal performs with world class musicians from Canada, the United States and Europe. Her music is played on radio and satellite stations around the world and she has performed in many notable festivals, such as the Montreal jazz festival. She will perform a mix of jazz standards and originals.

They share a goal: a life together in music, which is achieved by their work performing as a duo. Their concert will include music by Henry Mancini, Leonard Cohen, Victor Young, Burt Bacharach, Pablo Casals, and others.

Music on Union presents santurist Sadaf Amini live as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Sadaf Amini has performed at various music festivals and received prizes, including the 2019 YGK emerging musician competition, and the 2020 Kingston Film Festival Local Music Video Showcase Jury Prize. A frequent collaborator with various ensembles, her most recent release was her original Santur solo album “Flow”. Currently, she is expanding her repertoire from traditional Iranian music to a more personal style that expresses her inner feelings to a greater extent.

Music on Union presents the Peletsis-Dardykina Piano Duo live as part of the “Sounds of Peace” mid-day concert series at St James’ Church, 10 Union St in Kingston. The series of 40-minute indoor concerts runs every Friday through 30 September. Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). Both graduates of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, Anna Peletsis and Tatiana Dardykina formed their piano duo in 2013, and since then have regularly performed in festivals and chamber music series across North America and Europe, including Kingston on two previous occasions. On this visit, the duo will present a program of “Songs and Dances for Four Hands” featuring music by Brahms, Grieg, Rachmaninov, Beckwith, and Pelēcis.

Admission is Pay What You Can ($10 suggested). 613-548-7254, Lynn was born and raised at Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, is blessed with one son, and sits with Bear Clan. Blessed with a very musically inclined family, her first “performances” took place around the kitchen table and camp fires. The program will feature Lynn’s own compositions accompanied by piano, guitar, and hand drum.
