Kingston School of Dance is hosting it’s second Dance Battle this October. The weekend is full of activities for dancers and dance enthusiasts.
The Rep Your Style Battle invites dancers of all ages, styles and level of training from Kingston and neighboring cities. The battle will feature a LIVE DJ, EMCEE and JUDGE SHOWCASE. And a chance to win $350 Cash Prize!!
This event is supported by Kingston Arts Council and City of Kingston.
We welcome viewers of all ages to come experience this unique dance battle and get a taste of the dance community in the city of Kingston.
The workshops offer styles such as K-Pop, Popping, Vogue & Waacking for ages 10 & up. Register for your spot today!

The Kingston Baroque Consort (KBC) is pleased to present a “Festival of Music, Art, and Dance”, October 6-14, with the generous support of the Kingston Arts Council.
On Saturday 14 October from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Baroque dance specialist Edgar Tumak will present a workshop on “Baroque dance steps” at St James Church (10 Union St, Kingston). On the same day from 3pm to 4pm, Queen’s University Professor and Bader Chair in Southern Baroque Art Gauvin Bailey will present a lecture on “Louis XIV, Versailles, the King of Siam, and Ballet-Opera Diplomacy in the 17th Century” at the Stauffer Library on the Queen’s University campus.
Festival passes cost $25 (adults) and $10 (students), and free for under 17. Passes are available by emailing legerek@queensu.ca, calling 613-217-5099, in person at Novel Idea (156 Princess St), or at the door with cash, cheque, or interac e-transfer.
